Hai Phong leaders have solemnly offered incense at the city Martyrs’ Memorial and the monument to comrade Nguyen Duc Canh.

A delegation of the Hai Phong Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and armed forces on December 13 offered incense at the city Martyrs’ Memorial and the monument to comrade Nguyen Duc Canh to mark the 81st founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – 2025) and the 36th All-People National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 – 2025).
The delegation was led by Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee, and Head of the city Delegation of National Assembly Deputies.

Participants included Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee; Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee and Chairman of the city People’s Council; Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee and Chairman of the city People’s Committee; and Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, among others.
At the city Martyrs’ Memorial, in a solemn atmosphere, the delegation observed a minute of silence to commemorate the fallen heroes of Hai Phong city – steadfast sons and daughters who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

At the monument to comrade Nguyen Duc Canh, the delegation respectfully offered incense, expressing profound gratitude for the great contributions of Nguyen Duc Canh – a pioneering communist, an outstanding leader of the workers’ movement, and the first Secretary of the city Party Committee.
Following his example, the Party organization, authorities, and people of Hai Phong will continue to strive to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.
