Smart night-time street space
Visitors can easily access the ‘Digital Food Map’ integrated on the Smart Hai Phong app and the ShopeeFood ecosystem. All data on eateries meeting food hygiene and safety standards, diverse menus ranging from crab spring rolls and red-noodle soup to non-cash payments, are processed quickly and conveniently.

The Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation is a key tool to lift the economy to new heights.
Deeply grasping the spirit of the resolution, Hai Phong has integrated digital thinking into all aspects of urban life. The city’s implementation of a strategic cooperation plan for 2026–2028 with Foody Joint Stock Company (ShopeeFood) is a driving force for digital transformation to elevate the night-time economy.
The night food pedestrian street, stretching from Quang Trung Street to Tran Hung Dao Street and operating from 6 p.m. to midnight every Friday and Saturday, is a concrete step to implement the policy of making technology and innovation central drivers of local economic development.
According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the opening event attracted a strong response, attracting more than 16,000 residents and tourists, creating a vibrant atmosphere at the City Theater Square.
Breakthrough in thinking
Promoting digital transformation is not only bringing convenience to consumers but also creating a real revolution in the way local business households operate.
The pedestrian street space is arranged with around 30 mobile stalls designed in a synchronous and modern style. On the opening night alone, total revenue from commercial and service activities here reached nearly 600 million VND.
Hai Phong’s strategy to awaken the night-time economy is further elevated by a series of large-scale integrated events, such as music festivals or highlight events expected to gather tens of thousands of tourists at Lach Tray Stadium, and the e-sports event ‘Games ON Hai Phong 2026’.
