Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau has delivered 20 billion VND from the city to support Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces in addressing storm damage.

Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau and the city delegation on November 14 visited, encouraged, and provided support to localities heavily affected by Storm No. 13 in Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces.
Secretary Le Tien Chau handed over 20 billion VND to the Relief Funds of the two localities, 10 billion VND each, to help address disaster impacts.
Storm No. 13 (internationally called Kalmaegi) caused severe damage in Gia Lai at the end of October, with hundreds of houses collapsing, tens of thousands losing their roofs, and many infrastructure facilities suffering major destruction.
In Dak Lak, Storm No. 13 also caused serious damage, leaving two people dead and two injured, hundreds of homes losing roofs, and more than 54,000 aquaculture cages destroyed, with losses estimated at hundreds of billions of VND.
On behalf of the Party committee, authorities and people of Hai Phong, Secretary Le Tien Chau conveyed deep sympathy to officials, soldiers and residents in the affected localities, expressing hope that the support would help them soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
On this occasion, Secretary Le Tien Chau visited and encouraged the family of Le Thi Hien in Hoa My hamlet, Xuan Canh commune, Dak Lak, province a household whose home was completely destroyed by the storm. Along with immediate relief, Hai Phong city will fund the construction of a new house for her family.
