On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Haiphong City Party Committee, extended his best wishes for good health and a warm, joyful Tet to officers and soldiers of military units stationed in Haiphong, as well as to policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged households.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, on the afternoon of February 5, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Head of the Haiphong National Assembly Delegation visited and presented gifts, extending Tet greetings to several military units stationed in the city as well as to families of people with meritorious services to the revolution in Hong Bang Ward.
Accompanying him were Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; Mr. Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Council; Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee; along with leaders of relevant departments, sectors, units and localities.

During visits to extend Lunar New Year greetings to the Military Region 3 Command and the Naval Command, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Haiphong City Party Committee, shared key information on the city’s socio-economic situation in 2025 and its development orientations for 2026.
He emphasized that the achievements Haiphong has attained have always been supported by the close coordination and active assistance of military units stationed in the area, particularly in ensuring national defense and social order, and in maintaining political stability.

On the occasion of welcoming the Lunar New Year 2026, on behalf of the city’s leadership, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Haiphong City Party Committee, expressed his gratitude and extended New Year wishes of good health, happiness and successful fulfillment of assigned duties to officers and soldiers of military units, entrusted by the Party, the State and the people.
Mr. Tran Thanh Nghiem, Vice Admiral, Member of the Party Central Committee and Commander of the Navy, and Mr. Ha Tat Dat, Major General and Deputy Commander of Military Region 3, expressed their appreciation for the attention and support of the Haiphong Party Committee, authorities and people throughout the process of building, developing and strengthening the armed forces.
Leaders of the military units expressed their hope that in the coming years, Haiphong City and the Military Region 3 Command and the Naval Command would continue to maintain close, practical and effective coordination, further strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people of Haiphong.

During visits to present gifts and extend Lunar New Year greetings to policy beneficiary families, including Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dam (born in 1932), a martyr’s mother residing in Cam Lo 5 Residential Quarter; Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh (born in 1955), a war invalid, residing in Phuc Long Residential Quarter; and Phan Chi Thanh (born in 2017), a child in especially difficult circumstances living at No. 28/51 Dao Do Street, all in Hong Bang Ward, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Haiphong City Party Committee, expressed his gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of war invalids and fallen heroes who gave their lives for the cause of national liberation. He also shared words of encouragement with families raising children in difficult circumstances, urging them to overcome hardships and move forward in life.

Mr. Le Tien Chau extended his best wishes for good health and a joyful, warm Lunar New Year to the families, and called on local Party committees and authorities to continue paying close attention to social welfare work, ensuring proper care for policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious services and disadvantaged households, so that no one is left behind.
