As the 2026 Lunar New Year approaches, the “Trade Union Tet Journey” program is once again being launched, providing more than 20,000 bus, train, and airline tickets for union members and workers in difficult circumstances across the country. Alongside this, the “Trade Union Tet Market” officially opens, offering thousands of essential goods at preferential prices, helping to ease hardships and bring Tet closer to workers.

Each time Tet arrives and spring returns, while many families enjoy the joy of reunion, there are still countless migrant workers who must carefully save every penny and weigh every journey just to make it home. From this reality, Trade Union–organized flights, trains, and buses have been implemented as journeys of compassion, bringing workers back to their families during the cherished days of Tet reunion.

Over the years, the scale of these programs has continued to expand—not only in the number of trips, but also in connectivity networks and the number of beneficiaries. In 2023, the Trade Union Flight supported only 80 to 100 workers returning home for Tet. By the 2025 Lunar New Year, this number had increased to 450 workers, including 50 tickets sponsored by Vietnam Airlines on the Ho Chi Minh City–Hanoi route.

Continuing this meaningful journey, during the 2026 Lunar New Year, the Trade Union Flight is expected to bring more than 550 workers home for family reunions through three dedicated flights, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with major transportation gateways in Northern and Central Vietnam.

Of these, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will support 500 tickets, while Vietnam Airlines will provide 50 free tickets for workers in especially difficult circumstances. At the same time, Vietnam Airlines will apply preferential pricing policies and prioritize capacity for flights organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour during the Tet travel peak.

To ensure that each flight truly becomes a complete journey of reunion, the entire Vietnam Airlines system is mobilized in a coordinated manner, from flight operations to ground services. Dedicated reception procedures, specialized check-in counters, formal farewell ceremonies at Tan Son Nhat Airport, and cabin spaces infused with the spirit of traditional Vietnamese Tet are all carefully designed to create a sense of respect and warmth for workers from the very first moments.

Alongside the Trade Union Flight, the Trade Union Train program provides 2,000 round-trip train tickets accompanied by Tet gifts, implemented in coordination between local authorities and the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, together with thousands of Trade Union–organized bus trips nationwide—all sharing the common goal of bringing workers home for Tet.

Each Trade Union flight, train, and bus not only carries workers back to their hometowns to welcome spring, but also conveys trust, solidarity, social responsibility, and compassion—creating a strong foundation that allows workers to feel secure in building long-term ties with their enterprises and with society.
