Election day in Hai Phong was held safely and in accordance with regulations, with voter turnout reaching a very high level, exceeding the national average.

According to a preliminary report from the Hai Phong Election Committee, as of 10:00 p.m. on March 15, 2026, the city recorded 3,086,564 registered voters in the elections for the National Assembly of Vietnam (16th tenure) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. Of these, 3,082,079 voters cast their ballots, representing a turnout rate of 99.85%.
Public interest in the election remained high. Many voters carefully reviewed candidates’ biographies, paying particular attention to their qualifications and professional backgrounds. They also expressed hope that their votes would help elect capable and ethical representatives.
Political security as well as social order and safety across the city were fully ensured throughout election day. Facilities and technical equipment for the polls were thoroughly prepared, and all procedures were carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring a stable and orderly voting process.
