The Hai Phong Labor Federation received commendation from higher authorities for its successful organization of Workers’ Month 2026, marked by extensive worker-care activities with exceeded targets.

During Workers’ Month 2026, the city’s trade unions at all levels recorded notable achievements in protecting workers’ rights and expanding union membership.
Most prominent was union recruitment and grassroots union formation. Trade unions admitted 17,872 new members and established 122 grassroots unions; recommended 1,036 outstanding union members for Party consideration, of whom 281 were admitted to the Party.
By May 31, the city had set up 213 new grassroots unions, reaching 101% of the year’s plan and completing the 2026 target seven months ahead of schedule.

The city labor federation distributed gifts from Party and State leaders to 100 workers in especially difficult circumstances, with the total value of VND 250 million; and provided 3,000 gift packages, each worth VND 1 million, to disadvantaged union members and workers.
The city’s trade unions supported construction of four new gratitude houses each worth VND 60 million; provided emergency aid to 455 workers injured in workplace accidents with total funding exceeding VND 1.825 billion; and disbursed more than VND 12.83 billion from the low-interest loan fund for workers, civil servants and needy laborers to over 1,600 loan instances.
