Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau has emphasized that Hai Phong always creates the best conditions for nurturing future generations.

The Hai Phong Party Committee’s Standing Board held a meeting with more than 800 officials, public servants, and workers in the city’s education and training sector on November 19.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the city People’s Committee Le Ngoc Chau, on behalf of the city’s leadership, warmly welcomed and extended the kindest greetings and best wishes to teachers and education administrators across the city on the occasion of the 43rd Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.
Over the past years, the city has consistently upheld the viewpoint that education and training are a top priority and a key driving force for Hai Phong’s fast and sustainable development.

The city has issued more than 10 resolutions along with many special projects and policies aimed at fundamentally and comprehensively reforming education and training. Nearly 20% of the local budget is allocated to the sector. As a result, the city’s education system has achieved fairly comprehensive development, with scale and quality continuously improving.
To realize the objectives set by Central and city authorities to turn Hai Phong into one of the country’s leading centers for education and training, as well as an international hub for training, research, application, and development in science and technology and marine economy, the city has been implementing a wide range of concrete, synchronized measures, including the meeting yesterday.

This was an opportunity for the city’s leadership to listen to heartfelt, candid, and responsible contributions, as well as breakthrough and practical proposals that can advance the city’s education and training sector.
In his concluding remarks, Secretary of the city Party Committee Le Tien Chau acknowledged and highly appreciated the thoughtful and responsible opinions of teachers and education staff at the meeting. The Standing Board of the city Party Committee generally agreed with the responses provided by city leaders and relevant departments, considering them commitments and political and legal responsibilities that must be carried out for the education and training sector.

“The Standing Board will lead and direct efforts to ensure that these commitments and conclusions are soon translated into concrete results, partly meeting the legitimate expectations and aspirations of education staff across the city,” said Chau.
The secretary expressed confidence that, with its strong educational traditions, dedicated and knowledgeable teaching workforce, and continued support from Party committees, authorities, and the public, the city’s education and training sector will continue to achieve new accomplishments and make worthy contributions toward the goal of building Hai Phong into a modern, civilized, ecological, and worth-living port city. The city Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee will always accompany the sector, creating the best conditions for nurturing future generations.
