By participating in the National Achievements Exhibition, Hai Phong affirmed its solidarity and position as the country’s third-largest economic center after the merger, while promoting the image of a heroic and cultured city.

The Hai Phong People’s Committee held a conference at the city Convention and Performance Center on September 20 afternoon to review the city’s participation in the National Achievements Exhibition marking the 80th National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the city People’s Committee Le Ngoc Chau emphasized that the exhibition, themed “80 years of independence – freedom – happiness”, was the largest-ever political and cultural event of its kind.

For Hai Phong, participation in the exhibition was both a political mission and an opportunity to affirm its position as the country’s third-largest economic center after the merger with Hai Duong province. It was also an occasion to honor the city’s 80-year journey of construction and development and to promote the image of a heroic and cultured city.
Throughout the 19 days of the exhibition, Hai Phong’s pavilion welcomed nearly 600,000 visitors, with more than 90% of displayed products sold, generating estimated revenue of 5 billion VND.

In addition, the city organized more than 230 free buses for about 10,000 residents to attend the exhibition, with the support of 20 transport and travel businesses.
Highlighting the pioneering role of the business community as a driving force for the city’s development shown through the exhibition, Chairman Le Ngoc Chau expressed his hope that Hai Phong enterprises would continue to uphold innovation, invest in high technology, digital transformation, and green transition; expand cooperation and integrate more deeply into global value chains; and align business interests with community benefits.

“With strong determination, great aspiration, and the united efforts of the business community, I believe Hai Phong will break through and become a leading city in industrialization and modernization; a growth engine of the northern region and the whole country, worthy of standing alongside prominent cities in Asia,” Chairman Le Ngoc Chau stressed.
The National Achievements Exhibition took place in Ha Noi from August 28 to September 15, with the participation of 28 ministries and Central sectors, 34 localities, and more than 110 major corporations and enterprises, attracting over 10 million visitors.

Hai Phong participated with two impressive spaces: a 375m² indoor pavilion at Kim Quy Exhibition and a 10,000m² outdoor area featuring 84 leading businesses showcasing thousands of signature products.
The booths of Hoang Huy, VinFast, Ford Vietnam, Ricco, Le Anh Yachts, among others, became highlights that drew large crowds. In particular, Hai Phong’s culinary space at the “food train” was always overloaded, proving the unique appeal of the city’s specialties.

Hai Phong was awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister and the “Outstanding Exhibition Space” Award by the Exhibition Organizing Committee.
Acknowledging the contributions of groups and individuals to the exhibition’s success, the Chairman of the city People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to five collectives and 26 individuals with outstanding achievements, honored 100 excellent enterprises, and presented the “Outstanding Booth” Award to 25 businesses.
