Through images, exhibits, and outstanding booths at the National Achievements Exhibition, Hai Phong city is showcasing the profile of a dynamic, innovative, and integrated industrial hub.
Industrial “locomotive” of the North
Since the very first days, Hai Phong’s outdoor zone at the National Achievements Exhibition has always been packed with visitors, particularly at the booths of companies representing the city’s industry. Many researchers, investors, and partners at home and abroad visited to learn about Hai Phong’s socio-economic development achievements as well as opportunities for cooperation and investment in the city - Vietnam’s third-largest economy.
Among the highlights, the booth of Tien Phong Plastic JSC. introduces its key product lines such as PVC, HDPE, and PP-R pipes certified with international green standards, along with pioneering products introduced for the first time in Vietnam, including DN 2000 mm HDPE pipes, double-walled corrugated PP pipes, and PVC-U inspection boxes.
Chu Van Phuong, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Tien Phong Plastic JSC., affirmed: “For more than six decades accompanying the nation’s construction, we have always believed that every product we create carries responsibility, love, and national pride. Tien Phong Plastic will continue to pioneer innovation in the spirit of our founding days, to move forward with the nation into a green, prosperous, and sustainable era.”
As one of Hai Phong’s representative industrial parks at the exhibition, Nam Dinh Vu industrial park has also attracted strong interest from delegates and visitors to its booth. Located within the Dinh Vu – Cat Hai Economic Zone, Nam Dinh Vu spans 1,329 ha and is the only industrial park in Hai Phong having an international container port within its premises, significantly reducing time and transportation costs for businesses. To date, Nam Dinh Vu has become an attractive destination, drawing more than 100 domestic and foreign investors, with FDI enterprises accounting for around 80%.
Other major names such as VinFast, LS Vina, East Asia Aluminum, and Dai An also participate, together painting a diverse industrial picture of the port city. From the production of materials, electrical cables, and automobiles to green technology solutions, each enterprise underscores its pioneering role in its respective sector.
Industrial momentum in new integration era
Beyond the presence of individual enterprises, this exhibition offers a comprehensive view of Hai Phong’s industrial strength.
Over the years, the city has consistently led in investment attraction. The Lach Huyen deep-water port system, high-tech industrial parks, coastal economic zones, and the development of major corporations such as LG, Pegatron, Bridgestone, and Regina Miracle have made Hai Phong a premier destination for both domestic and foreign investors.
As of the end of August 2025, Hai Phong’s industrial parks and economic zones had hosted 1,353 valid projects with total registered investment of 63.3 billion USD. This included 997 FDI projects with nearly 42.2 billion USD and 356 DDI projects with 21.1 billion USD in investment.
In addition, key industries such as automobile manufacturing, precision engineering, electronics, construction materials, and industrial plastics have contributed to shaping the profile of a modern industrial city.
Over the years, the city’s economic structure has continued shifting positively in line with industrialization and modernization trends, with the share of the industry-construction and services sectors rising from 89.28% in 2020 to 91.6% in 2024.
Entering a new phase after its merger with Hai Duong province, Hai Phong now enjoys greater advantages. Abundant human resources, expanded industrial land, and a synchronized infrastructure network linking seaports, roads, railways, and airports provide the city with conditions for stronger breakthroughs. In the first eight months of 2025, Hai Phong’s industrial production index (IIP) rose by 14.51% year-on-year, a testament to the growth potential of the new Hai Phong city.
The National Achievements Exhibition serves as a stage for Hai Phong to present itself as a dynamic, innovative, and integrated industrial city. From the booths on display, it is clear that the city is orienting its industrial development toward green, modern, smart, and sustainable direction. The attraction of high-tech projects, promotion of electric vehicle and recycled plastic production and supporting industries, and enhancement of localization and value-added capacity will enable Hai Phong to maintain its position as the industrial “locomotive” of the North.
