Bach Long Vi Special Zone starts early voting on March 14

Bach Long Vi is the first locality in Hai Phong to organize the opening ceremony and early voting for Vietnam’s 16th National Assembly and the city’s 17th People’s Council for the 2026–2031 term.

Authorities said preparations for the vote had been carried out on schedule and all necessary conditions for election day had been completed.

At 7 a.m. on March 14, the Election Committee of Bach Long Vi Special Zone held the opening ceremony before voters began casting their ballots.

For the National Assembly elections, Bach Long Vi belongs to constituency No. 1, which includes Cat Hai and Bach Long Vi special zones, wards of Dong Hai, Hai An, Hung Dao, Duong Kinh, Gia Vien, Ngo Quyen, Nam Do Son and Do Son, as well as communes of Kien Thuy, Kien Minh, Kien Hai, Kien Hung and Nghi Duong.
The constituency has five candidates competing for three seats.

For the municipal People’s Council elections, Bach Long Vi is part of constituency No. 9, which comprises six wards-Hai An, Dong Hai, Do Son, Nam Do Son, Duong Kinh and Hung Dao- along with Cat Hai and Bach Long Vi special zones.
The constituency has eight candidates competing for five seats.

Bach Long Vi special zone has two polling stations serving local voters.
