Established as part of Vietnam's seaport development strategy, TC-HICT has, after eight years of commercial operations, gradually demonstrated its capacity to operate a modern deep-water port, becoming an important link between Vietnam's import-export activities and the global maritime network.
To date, TC-HICT has received approximately 3,550 container ship calls, including a vessel with a maximum deadweight tonnage of 171,899 DWT. The port has achieved a peak handling rate of 190 containers per hour and handled a total cargo volume of more than 8.2 million TEUs. Notably, it has maintained annual throughput of more than 1 million TEUs for five consecutive years.

TC-HICT is currently operating international shipping routes connecting Vietnam with the US market and other intra-Asian ones. These routes help expand trade opportunities, shorten shipping times, reduce logistics costs and enhance the competitiveness of import-export businesses.
In the coming period, TC-HICT aims to increase its handling capacity through investment in infrastructure, equipment and technology, with the goal of accommodating vessels of up to 200,000 DWT.

The port will also strengthen multimodal logistics connectivity by integrating maritime, inland waterway, road and rail transport. It will expand cooperation with logistics companies, industrial parks, manufacturing centers and partners within the SNP ecosystem.
In addition, TC-HICT will continue to accelerate digital transformation by applying solutions such as ePort, optical character recognition (OCR) and artificial intelligence (AI). It will also pursue the development of a green and smart port to improve management efficiency, service quality and operational sustainability.

To mark the 15th founding anniversary and recognize the outstanding achievements of TC-HICT, the State President awarded the company the 3rd-class Labor Order.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the City People's Committee presented certificates of merit to two collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to TC-HICT's establishment and development.
