The milestone of handling the one-millionth TEU in 2025 marks the outstanding operational capacity and service quality of Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal.

Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT), under Saigon Newport Corporation, held a ceremony to welcome the one-millionth TEU handled through the port in 2025 at Lach Huyen port on October 17.
This is the fourth consecutive year (2022–2025) that TC-HICT has reached the milestone of handling one million TEUs.

The one-millionth TEU was handled on COSCO’s vessel CSCL EAST CHINA SEA.
Reaching this milestone in October 2025 demonstrates TC-HICT’s resilience in overcoming challenges, exceptional operational performance, and continuous improvement of service quality.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Doan Hai Tuan, Chairman of the Members’ Council of TC-HICT, in the first nine months of 2025, the terminal focused on improving operational efficiency, as reflected in significantly improved performance indicators.
Specifically, vessel handling productivity reached 110 containers per hour, up 24% compared to 2024, while average berth waiting time dropped from 26.5 hours in 2024 to only 7.8 hours this year.

These achievements have helped TC-HICT maintain its market share, cargo throughput, and affirm its position as one of the leading ports in Hai Phong’s seaport system.
