12 fireworks displays simultaneously lit up the sky over the port city on New Year's Eve, ushering in a spring of faith, unity, and development aspirations

Starting at 10 p.m. on February 16, the artistic program "Hai Phong welcomes Spring 2026" and New Year's Eve fireworks took place at the city’s Central Political-Administrative Center Square, featuring a grand, modern stage setup combined with advanced sound and lighting systems.

The program consisted of two chapters, creating an emotional journey from tradition to modernity. It opened with an artistic overture blending contemporary folk lights, EDM, and rhythmic festival drums, delivering a spectacular, culturally rich performance space.
The sound of festival drums merged with programmed lighting effects to paint a vibrant spring picture, igniting the port city's dynamic spirit at the moment of transition from the old year to the new year.

The program featured famous artists such as the People's Artist Thai Bao, People's Artist Khanh Hoa, People's Artist Nhat Thuan, along with singers Minh Quan, Hoang Hai, Van Mai Huong, Erik, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, and a host of professional artists from Hai Phong City.

At exactly midnight on February 17, 2026 (Lunar January 1), the first high-altitude fireworks clusters blazed over the city’s Political-Administrative Center Square, marking the sacred New Year 2026 arrived amid the joy and pride of crowds watching live at the square and audiences via broadcasts and digital platforms of Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio and Television.

In addition to the main site, four high-altitude fireworks displays combined with low-altitude ones were held at the Xu Dong Cultural Center Square; Vinhomes Vu Yen urban area; Hanh Phuc Lake area (Kien An Ward); and Kien Hai Commune Stadium.

Additionally, 7 low-altitude fireworks sites were set up at the dragon boat racing pier in Kien Thuy Commune; Cat Hai High School and Cat Ba Tourism Center; An Duong Ward Park; stadiums in Chan Hung, Ha Bac, Hop Tien Communes; and the western urban area of Nam Sach Commune.
