New Cay bridge completed, awaiting approach road opening

After more than two years of construction, the new Cay bridge spanning the Sat river on Provincial Road 394 linking Mao Dien and Binh Giang communes, has been completed and is awaiting opening to traffic.
The new Cay bridge project has a total investment of nearly VND 469.5 billion, with the Hai Phong Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Project Management Board as the investor.The bridge crosses the Sat river, connecting Mao Dien and Ke Sat communes. Built with prestressed reinforced concrete, it is 182 m long and 30 m wide, featuring four motor vehicle lanes and two lanes for non-motorized traffic.The bridge construction has been completed, with the lighting system and traffic signs fully installed.The approach road connecting the new Cay bridge to Ke Sat commune has also been completed.Alongside the bridge, construction is being accelerated on the project comprising the approach road and an extended 33-m boulevard linking to Vu Cong Dan Street, ensuring the entire transport corridor becomes operational simultaneously.The 3.23-km route includes a section connecting Vu Cong Dan Street with the Dai An Expansion Industrial Park in Tu Minh Ward, and another section running from Provincial Road 394 to the northern end of the new Cay bridge in Mao Dien Commune.Despite the summer heat, engineers and construction workers are working intensively to speed up the construction of the approach road.The approach road and extended boulevard project is being built by Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex) and Ha Noi Transport Construction Consultancy JSC.The project has reached approximately 85% completion and is expected to be finished and opened to traffic in September 2026.
