The Nguyen Trai Bridge construction and surrounding urban renovation project is being accelerated by contractors, with completion targeted for use by September 2, 2027.
According to the Hai Phong Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Board, as of July 10 the overall completion volume of the three main construction packages under the Nguyen Trai Bridge construction and surrounding urban renovation project had reached 50 percent of the plan. Progress across all packages has met and exceeded contract requirements.
The project has a total investment of VND 6.3128 trillion and consists of two sub-projects. Sub-project 1 covers construction works with a total cost of VND 4.981 trillion. Sub-project 2 involves land acquisition and compensation for site clearance, with a total budget of VND 1.3313 trillion.
At present, the investor is urging contractors to mobilize engineers, workers, materials and supplies to speed up construction and make up for delayed work caused by price fluctuations since early March 2026. The investor is also urged Ngo Quyen Ward People’s Committee and Hai Phong Port Joint stock-Company to hand over the remaining land area as soon as possible for packages No. 14 and 30.
