The Hai Phong Youth Union and Team Council have co-organized a Mid-Autumn Festival themed “Lanterns lighting up dreams” in Tran Nhan Tong Ward.
The Hai Phong Youth Union and Team Council, in coordination with Tran Nhan Tong Ward, organize the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival themed “Lanterns lighting up dreams” on the evening of September 23.Attending the program are Dao Trong Duc, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee; Nguyen Duc Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; leaders of the City Youth Union and Team Council; and representatives of departments, agencies, and supporting organizations.Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Dao Trong Duc presents gifts to and encourages disadvantaged children in Tran Nhan Tong Ward.Nguyen Thi Thuy, Secretary of the Hai Phong Youth Union, delivers opening remarks at the Mid-Autumn Festival, sending her wishes and encouragement to children to behave well, study, train hard, and nurture beautiful dreams.The Organizing Committee presents 40 gift packages to children in Tran Nhan Tong Ward, including lanterns, moon cakes, milk and cash.The festival features numerous performances by children from the Hai Phong Children and Youth Cultural Palace.Uncle Cuoi and the Moon Lady interact with children, creating a cheerful and friendly atmosphere at the Mid-Autumn Festival.Children take part in quizzes to win prizes and enjoy an energetic lion and dragon dance accompanied by the resounding beat of festival drums.The festival features a variety of Mid-Autumn-themed performances, including group songs, solo and accompanying group performances, among others.Elaborately prepared and beautifully decorated Mid-Autumn Festival trays are prepared by residential groups for children to enjoy as they celebrate the festival and admire the moon.Giant lanterns in the shapes of stars, butterflies, horses and other figures add highlights to the festival setting.The Mid-Autumn Festival attracts large numbers of children and residents of Tran Nhan Tong Ward.The program provides children with a cheerful and healthy recreational activity during the Mid-Autumn Festival while demonstrating the care and attention of Youth Union organizations, local authorities and the community for the younger generation.Through the festival, the Organizing Committee hopes the children will gain more beautiful childhood memories, continue to behave well, study and train hard, follow the Five Teachings Uncle Ho gave children, nurture their dreams and grow into useful citizens.
