New Cay bridge completed, awaiting approach road opening

After more than two years of construction, the new Cay bridge spanning the Sat river on Provincial Road 394 linking Mao Dien and Binh Giang communes, has been completed and is awaiting opening to traffic.

Dự án cầu Cậy mới có tổng mức đầu tư gần 469,5 tỷ đồng, do Ban Quản lý dự án đầu tư xây dựng công trình nông nghiệp và phát triển nông thôn Hải Phòng làm chủ đầu tư.
The new Cay bridge project has a total investment of nearly VND 469.5 billion, with the Hai Phong Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Project Management Board as the investor.
Công trình cầu Cậy mới bắc qua sông Sặt, nối 2 xã Mao Điền và Kẻ Sặt được xây dựng bằng bê tông cốt thép dự ứng lực, dài 182 m, rộng 30 m với 4 làn xe cơ giới, 2 làn xe thô sơ, dải phân cách, vỉa hè và hệ thống lan can đồng bộ.
The bridge crosses the Sat river, connecting Mao Dien and Ke Sat communes. Built with prestressed reinforced concrete, it is 182 m long and 30 m wide, featuring four motor vehicle lanes and two lanes for non-motorized traffic.
Đến nay, công trình đã hoàn thành thi công. Hệ thống chiếu sáng, biển báo đã được lắp đặt.
The bridge construction has been completed, with the lighting system and traffic signs fully installed.

The approach road connecting the new Cay bridge to Ke Sat commune has also been completed.
Cùng với cầu Cậy mới, Dự án đầu tư xây dựng đường dẫn cầu Cậy mới và đường 33m kéo dài nối đường Vũ Công Đán đang được tập trung hoàn thiện để bảo đảm khai thác đồng bộ.
Alongside the bridge, construction is being accelerated on the project comprising the approach road and an extended 33-m boulevard linking to Vu Cong Dan Street, ensuring the entire transport corridor becomes operational simultaneously.
Tuyến đường có tổng chiều dài 3,23 km, gồm đoạn nối đường Vũ Công Đán với khu công nghiệp Đại An mở rộng (phường Tứ Minh) và đoạn đường dẫn từ đường tỉnh 394 đến đầu cầu Cậy mới (xã Mao Điền).
The 3.23-km route includes a section connecting Vu Cong Dan Street with the Dai An Expansion Industrial Park in Tu Minh Ward, and another section running from Provincial Road 394 to the northern end of the new Cay bridge in Mao Dien Commune.

Despite the summer heat, engineers and construction workers are working intensively to speed up the construction of the approach road.
Dự án đầu tư xây dựng đường dẫn cầu Cậy mới và đường 33m kéo dài nối đường Vũ Công Đán do Tổng công ty CP Xuất nhập khẩu và Xây Dựng Việt Nam - Vinaconex và Công ty CP Tư vấn xây giao thông Hà Nội thi công.
The approach road and extended boulevard project is being built by Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex) and Ha Noi Transport Construction Consultancy JSC.
Đến nay, công trình hoàn thành khoảng 85% khối lượng công việc, dự kiến trong tháng 9/2026 sẽ hoàn thành đưa vào khai thác.
The project has reached approximately 85% completion and is expected to be finished and opened to traffic in September 2026.
