During an inspection of four social housing projects in Hai Phong, Chairman of the City People's Committee Do Thanh Trung called for concentration of manpower to ensure progress and soon bring products onto the market.
Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee, inspected the status of several social housing projects across the city on November 6.
After inspecting the sites and hearing reports on project implementation, Trung called on investors and contractors to concentrate resources and allocate sufficient manpower to ensure the projects are completed on schedule.
Alongside housing construction, the investors should also pay attention to investment in schools at all levels, as well as cultural and sports facilities, to meet residents' educational and daily needs when they move into the apartments.
The chairman also emphasized that housing sale and rental prices must be affordable, particularly for workers and low-income earners, ensuring that eligible people can access housing.
The investors should promptly report difficulties and obstacles arising during implementation to local authorities and relevant departments and agencies for proposal to the city authorities for consideration and settlement. City leaders remain committed to working alongside the investors and developing the most effective support measures to ensure project completion and soon bring products onto the market, Trung said.
The Lac Vien Warehouse No. 3 social housing project in Ngo Quyen Ward has a total investment of VND 4.865 trillion. It comprises 10 15-story buildings with 4,448 apartments. To date, four buildings have been substantially completed, with acceptance procedures underway prior to handover.
The social housing project in Cau Rao 2 Urban Area, An Bien Ward, has a total investment of VND 1.939 trillion. It comprises four 15-story apartment buildings with 1,880 units. The investor is carrying out construction while also completing procedures for opening sales and announcing apartment prices.
The Dam Bac Giang social housing project in Hong Bang Ward has a total investment of VND 3.095 trillion. It comprises six 20-story apartment buildings with 2,319 units. The project has received the first land handover, covering an area of 4.9 hectares.
The social housing development in An Duong Ward, covers 26 hectares and comprises 2,760 apartments, with a total investment of VND 2.998 trillion. The investor is working with local authorities to prepare detailed land measurement records for site clearance.
