A technology supply–demand matching session between Hai Phong and South Korean companies has been held to promote the science and technology market, research, and application of advanced solutions to production and daily life.
The Center for Innovation and Application of Science and Technology under the Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC), co-organized a technology supply–demand matching session between Vietnamese and South Korean organizations and enterprises on October 30.
Leaders of the Hai Phong Young Entrepreneurs Association, along with more than 50 enterprises from the city and neighboring localities, attended the event. Notably, the session also drew the participation of a delegation from South Korean supporting organizations, associations, and businesses.
In his opening speech, Le Luong Thinh, Deputy Director of the Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology, emphasized that innovation and technology transfer are key drivers of sustainable growth, helping businesses enhance competitiveness and adapt to global fluctuations.
Hai Phong is actively implementing its goal of becoming a modern industrial hub, a smart city, and an innovation center of the region by 2030. Accessing advanced technologies from developed countries, particularly South Korea, which holds strong advantages in semiconductors, AI, and green technologies, is considered an urgent necessity.
At the event, six South Korean companies presented solutions in AI, smart transportation, cybersecurity, performance measurement, carbon reduction, parking management technology, AI-based automatic accident reporting, restaurant–customer connection apps, data platforms, high-precision mapping, and other fields. Many of these solutions are ready to be directly applied in production, management, and smart urban development in Hai Phong.
Following the opening session, the businesses took part in one-on-one meetings aimed at reaching strategic, concrete, and practical cooperation agreements to help them strengthen innovation capacity and expand markets.
