Hai Phong's total retail sales of goods and service revenue increase by 14.8%

According to the Hai Phong City People's Committee report, in March 2026, the city's total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached approximately 34,100 billion VND, up 13.96% year-on-year. For the first quarter overall, it reached about 103,270 billion VND, up 14.8% from the same period last year, exceeding the scenario by 1.57%.

Of which, retail sales of goods increased by 15.12%; accommodation and food services rose 13.96%; travel services up 12%; and other services up 11.45%.

Commercial and service activities have continued to show positive shifts recently, maintaining fairly high growth; the supply of goods has basically met production and consumption needs.

Notably, coinciding with the Lunar New Year, the city organized numerous trade promotion and consumer stimulus programs such as: the first Hai Phong Spring Fair 2026; Vietnam Food Expo 2026 and the forum "Solutions to enhance competitiveness of Vietnamese exports in global trade chain"... which contributed to boosting market purchasing power and trade growth.
