Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council, chairs a working session in Viet Khe Commune.

Immediately after the supervisory session, the commune authorities were urged to promptly coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units to propose that the Municipal People’s Committee allocate resources and prioritize investment in transport infrastructure, schools and urban areas. These projects would help expand the commune’s space and create room for socio-economic development. Viet Khe Commune should also focus on strengthening and improving the quality of its staff, while regularly holding dialogues to listen to and promptly address opinions and petitions of voters and residents.

Regarding complaints about the unstable street lighting system along the route from the former Phu Ninh Commune People’s Committee to the former An Son Commune, which had failed to meet requirements for traffic safety and public security at night, the low-voltage power grid and electricity pole infrastructure in Ngoc Khe Village had also deteriorated, with the power supply insufficient to meet the demand of households at the end of the distribution lines.

The Viet Khe Commune People’s Committee allocated funds to cover the cost of street lighting along the route, ensuring uninterrupted lighting from July 2026 to date. The local authorities proposed that the Department of Finance promptly allocate funding for the management and operation of the commune’s public lighting system so that the locality could ensure timely payments to the lighting electricity company.

In response to petitions from residents of Ngoc Khe Village, Thuy Nguyen Power Company added lines to redistribute the load on existing power lines. Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council Le Van Hieu called on the Viet Khe Commune People’s Committee to urgently coordinate with Hai Phong Power One Member Co., Ltd. to conduct a comprehensive survey of the commune’s low-voltage power grid and develop an investment plan, with funding allocated for renovation and replacement works in 2027.
