Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung has asked the city’s education and training sector to continue innovating and improving quality to meet development requirements.

Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee, worked with the Department of Education and Training on September 15 on the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development; education and training development tasks, particularly vocational education and training; tasks for the remaining months of 2026; and the plan for 2027.
To improve governance efficiency and education quality, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung assigned the Department of Education and Training to take the lead and coordinate with the People’s Committees of communes, wards and special zones, as well as relevant agencies, to continue reviewing and completing the work following administrative reorganization, ensuring that educational institutions operate stably and smoothly, without affecting learners’ rights or education quality.

The city will continue to focus on addressing difficulties related to personnel, facilities, land funds and resources; improving education quality; strengthening school governance, digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence.
Vocational education needs to be renewed toward closer alignment with businesses’ needs, labor market forecasts and development orientations for key economic sectors; while promoting the role of universities in the training of high-quality human resources, scientific research, innovation and technology transfer.

The Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee required stronger coordination among the State, schools and businesses; renewed management thinking and training methods; promotion of learners’ creativity; and training that meets social demand.
Departments, sectors and localities should proactively coordinate, clearly define tasks, timelines and resources, and urgently implement the assigned tasks, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and meeting Hai Phong’s development requirements in the new period.
