Hai Phong has strengths in industry, the marine economy, seaports, and logistics services, playing an important role in international trade connectivity in northern Vietnam. Meanwhile, Incheon is one of South Korea's major trade hubs, with strengths in seaports, aviation, industry, and logistics services. These advantages provide opportunities for the two localities to exchange experience, promote business connections, and explore cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Do Manh Hien proposed that the two cities continue to strengthen their friendly relations, increase exchanges, and develop practical and effective cooperation activities suited to each side's potential, strengths, and development priorities.
Hien called for greater cooperation in industry, trade, investment, and logistics, as well as stronger connections among specialized agencies, businesses, and relevant organizations. He also proposed expanding cultural exchanges and people-to-people diplomacy to deepen mutual understanding, trust, and ties between residents of the two cities.

Incheon Vice Mayor Kim Seong-jung expressed his hope that cooperation between the two localities would continue to be strengthened and expanded by building on each side's potential and advantages.
Kim said the cities should increase information exchanges, share development experience, and promote connections among agencies, businesses, and social organizations. He also highlighted the importance of organizing cultural and people-to-people exchange activities to foster friendship and broaden opportunities for future cooperation.
The year 2027 will mark the 30th anniversary of cooperation between Hai Phong and Incheon. This milestone will provide an opportunity for the two localities to review the development of their relationship, assess achievements, and identify cooperation priorities suited to the changing context and new development requirements.
Later that afternoon, the Hai Phong delegation continued its visit with a tour to learn about Incheon's processes, operations, and urban development.
