More than 1,000 trade union officials and workers in Hai Phong registered to donate blood, with 772 units of blood collected.

The Hai Phong Confederation of Labor, in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Viet Tiep Hospital, held a voluntary blood donation day for workers and public employees in the city at Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace on September 19.

More than 1,000 people registered to donate blood. Among them, the largest number of registered participants were trade union members and workers at industrial parks and economic zones across the city, totaling more than 500 people. Nearly 300 trade union officials and members from the communes and wards of Nguyen Luong Bang, Gia Phuc, Phu Thai, Tu Ky, Thach Khoi, Kinh Mon, Mao Dien, etc. in the western part of the city also registered.

By the end of the day, the organizers had collected 772 units of blood.

Voluntary blood donation is becoming a regular movement among workers and public employees in Hai Phong. Each campaign brings more people willing to share their blood to help replenish the blood supply for treatment and medical care. The movement also helps spread social responsibility and the spirit of mutual support in the community among trade union members and workers.
