Standing members of the Hai Phong Party Committee have offered incense at the statue of female general Le Chan, the memorial house of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh, and the Con Son - Kiep Bac World Cultural Heritage site on the occasion of the 1st Congress of the city Party Committee.

On September 22, a delegation of the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and National Assembly Deputy Delegation of Hai Phong city, led by Secretary of the city Party Committee Le Tien Chau, offered incense at Nghe temple and the statue of female general Le Chan; An Bien communal house, the memorial house of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh, and the Con Son - Kiep Bac World Cultural Heritage site on the occasion of the 1st Congress of the Hai Phong Party Committee, 2025 - 2030 term.
In a solemn atmosphere, the Secretary of the city Party Committee and the other members of the delegation respectfully paid tribute to the great contributions of female general Le Chan, who founded An Bien village in the past, the land that became today’s Hai Phong city.

At the memorial house of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh, the delegation offered incense, expressing their respect and deep gratitude for his great contributions and sacrifices to the Party, the nation, and the Party organization, government, armed forces, and people of Hai Phong.
Nguyen Duc Canh was one of the founders of the Communist Party of Vietnam, an outstanding leader of the workers’ movement and the Vietnam Trade Union, former Secretary of the Tonkin Party Committee, former Chairman of the Red Workers’ General Union of Tonkin (now the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor), and the first Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee.
After that, the city leaders offered incense at relics of the Con Son - Kiep Bac World Cultural Heritage site to commemorate predecessors, showing their respect, gratitude, and honor to National Hero and World Cultural Figure Nguyen Trai, National Hero Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, and others.

This reaffirmed the historical value of the relic and scenic complex of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site.
The incense-offering ceremony took place ahead of the 2025Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival, scheduled for October 1 – 11 with an upgraded scale. This will be the first festival to be organized after the establishment of the newly merged Hai Phong city.
Before the sacred spirits of their predecessors, the delegation pledged to unite, dedicate themselves, continue innovation and creation, and resolve to overcome all difficulties to excellently fulfill their tasks, leading Hai Phong into a new phase of breakthrough development.
