Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee Do Thanh Trung has received and held talks with a delegation of deputy ministerial-level and equivalent officials from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

On the afternoon of October 10, Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee, hosted a meeting with a delegation, led by Keovisouk Solaphom, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Technology and Communications of Laos.
Sharing experience in Party building and political system development, Trung emphasized the need to renew leadership and management methods in accordance with the principle of “six clear responsibilities and one consistent approach”; streamline organizational structures to improve effectiveness and efficiency; and accelerate decentralization, delegation of authority, administrative reform and digital transformation.

Trung expressed his hope that the meeting would help both sides strengthen exchanges and learn from each other's experience in Party building, political system development and personnel development. He believed these practical discussions would promote mutual understanding and closer ties, further nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between Vietnam and Laos for increasingly sustainable development.
On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Minister Keovisouk Solaphom thanked Hai Phong's leaders for their warm and formal welcome. He expressed pleasure at visiting and working in the city and congratulated Hai Phong on its outstanding and comprehensive achievements in recent years.

He said Hai Phong's development achievements and experience were valuable and useful references for the Lao People's Revolutionary Party delegation to study and apply appropriately in the practical work of ministries, sectors and localities across Laos.
At the meeting, the leaders and delegates exchanged views and shared experience from Hai Phong and Lao localities and agencies in attracting investment, promoting economic growth, implementing special mechanisms and policies, ensuring social welfare and improving people's living standards; developing Party organizations in businesses; and promoting the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in social oversight and criticism.
