The launch of widespread promotional campaigns as part of Hai Phong Promotion Month 2026 is effectively stimulating consumer spending and reinvigorating the retail market.

The first phase of Hai Phong Promotion Month 2026 has already created a vibrant shopping atmosphere, with the participation of more than 800 businesses across the city. In addition to offering discounts, participating businesses have proactively adjusted their product assortments to meet summer consumer demand, ensuring an adequate supply of goods for local residents.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, Director of GO! Hai Phong Supermarket, the first phase of the promotion month coincides with the peak summer shopping season, prompting the supermarket to tailor its merchandise to consumers' seasonal needs. Besides increasing supplies of milk and beverages, the supermarket has also expanded its selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, and health-care products. At the same time, a variety of attractive promotional offers—including direct discounts, "Buy One, Get One Free" and "Buy Two, Get One Free" deals—have been introduced, enabling shoppers to save money while ensuring product quality and safety.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, Director of BRG Mart Hai Duong, said that in addition to its regular promotional campaigns, the supermarket has significantly expanded its offers during Hai Phong Promotion Month. More than 500 products, including beverages, fresh produce, cosmetics and other consumer goods, are being discounted by 10% to 50%, accompanied by various gift promotions. As a result, customer traffic has increased by around 10% compared with the period before the campaign began, while sales of promotional items now account for approximately 30% of the supermarket's total revenue.
A frequent household shopper, Ms. Hua Thi Ngoc, a resident of Le Thanh Nghi Ward, said the promotion month has helped her family significantly reduce living expenses. She usually purchases milk, cooking oil, and soft drinks during the campaign because of the substantial discounts. She also appreciates that all products have clear origins and their quality is assured.
In addition to traditional retail outlets, promotional campaigns are also being rolled out on e-commerce platforms, offering attractive discounts, flexible payment options, and free shipping. The combination of in-store and online sales not only caters to modern shopping habits but also enables businesses to reach a broader customer base.

A key highlight of Hai Phong Promotion Month 2026 is the participation of a large number of businesses from a wide range of sectors, including electronics, home appliances, consumer goods, processed foods, agricultural products, and everyday household items.
According to Ms. Vu Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy Director of the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade, "The programme prioritizes the promotion of OCOP (One Commune One Product) goods, traditional craft village products, outstanding rural industrial products, and high-quality Vietnamese goods with clear and traceable origins. It provides businesses with an opportunity to expand their markets while bringing distinctive local products closer to consumers."
Alongside trade promotion activities, market management efforts have also been strengthened. The Department of Industry and Trade has instructed market surveillance authorities to intensify inspections and supervision at retail outlets in order to promptly detect and address violations such as the sale of smuggled, counterfeit, or substandard goods, infringements of intellectual property rights, and commercial fraud committed under the guise of promotional campaigns. These measures help ensure product quality, traceability, and consumer rights, while reinforcing public confidence in Vietnamese products.
Hai Phong Promotion Month 2026 is also integrated with the nationwide campaign "Vietnamese People Give Priority to Using Vietnamese Goods" and the National Concentrated Promotion Programme. Under these initiatives, businesses are allowed to offer promotional goods and services with discounts of up to 100%, the maximum level permitted under the programme. The campaign also encourages enterprises to innovate their business models, accelerate digital transformation, and effectively combine offline and online sales channels to meet evolving consumer trends.
Beyond providing consumers with attractive shopping opportunities and substantial savings, Hai Phong Promotion Month 2026 also contributes to boosting product consumption and expanding market opportunities for businesses. By implementing well-organized promotional campaigns while ensuring product quality and safeguarding consumer rights, the programme is expected to further stimulate market demand, creating fresh momentum for the city's commercial activities and economic growth.
Hai Phong Promotion Month 2026 is being held under the theme "Companionship and Development" and consists of two phases: the first runs from July 1 to July 31, while the second takes place from November 15 to December 15. Both periods coincide with peaks in consumer demand, helping stimulate the retail market and support businesses' production and commercial activities.
