The Olympiad was held in Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia, from July 4 to July 12, bringing together 381 secondary school students from 85 countries and territories.

Contestants sat two five-hour examinations - one theoretical and one experimental - designed to assess their knowledge of physics, analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills and experimental techniques.

Vietnam's five-member team won medals across the board, taking home four golds and one silver.

The result placed Vietnam among the top seven teams at this year's Olympiad and marked the country's best-ever performance in the history of its participation in the International Physics Olympiad.
