By August 2026, 981 out of 1,404 public schools in Hai Phong had been recognized as meeting national standards, accounting for 69.87%, 4.47 percentage points higher than the national average.
Of the 981 schools meeting national standards, 304 were preschools (65.38%), 303 were primary schools (69.82%), 316 were junior high schools (74.70%), and 58 were senior high schools (70.73%).
In the coming period, Hai Phong will continue to review, consolidate and improve the quality of criteria for national-standard schools, aligning standardization with the practical requirements of each locality and level of education.
The city will also sustainably maintain the criteria after recognition and prioritize investment in schools facing difficulties in facilities, equipment and staffing, particularly in areas where student numbers are growing rapidly.
