Hai Phong City delegation led by Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Tien Chau paid a working visit to China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

On February 10, a Hai Phong City delegation led by Le Tien Chau, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, and Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation, paid a working visit to China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In Nanning City, Hai Phong Party Secretary Le Tien Chau met with Chen Gang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

At the meeting, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Secretary Chen Gang expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Hai Phong delegation and highly valued the long-standing friendship between Guangxi and Hai Phong, as well as other Vietnamese localities. He highlighted the effective cooperation achieved in recent years across multiple sectors between Guangxi, China and Hai Phong, Vietnam. He affirmed Guangxi’s readiness to further strengthen coordination and expand exchanges in areas of shared potential and advantage, particularly economics and trade, logistics, science and technology, education and training, and business connectivity.

Hai Phong Party Secretary Le Tien Chau thanked the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region leaders for the warm reception and affirmed that Hai Phong always attaches great importance to its cooperative relationship with Guangxi, a strategically significant locality in China–ASEAN cooperation. He expressed his hope that leaders of both sides will continue to effectively implement the eight common understandings reached during the visit of the high-level Guangxi delegation to Hai Phong in February 2025, while further expanding collaboration in other promising areas of mutual interest.

Later the same afternoon, Secretary Le Tien Chau and the Hai Phong delegation visited the China–ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center, and held meetings with several organizations and enterprises in the field of artificial intelligence.
