Hai Phong has officially launched a new international air route connecting the city with Guangzhou, China. Operated by Shenzhen Airlines, the route is served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, meeting international safety and service standards.
According to Cat Bi International Airport, the newly-inaugurated Hai Phong–Guangzhou route establishes a direct air link between Hai Phong and one of China’s major economic hubs. The service is also expected to strengthen regional connectivity with the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
Under the flight schedule, flight ZH129 departs Guangzhou for Hai Phong at 3:55 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Meanwhile, flight ZH130 departs Hai Phong for Guangzhou at 6:20 p.m. daily.
With the launch of the Hai Phong–Guangzhou route, Cat Bi International Airport now operates five international routes, connecting Hai Phong with Bangkok (Thailand), Incheon (the Republic of Korea), and the Chinese cities of Guangzhou, Nanning, and Lijiang.
The expansion of Cat Bi’s international route network is reinforcing Cat Bi’s role within the regional aviation system, facilitating travel and business exchanges, and further enhancing Hai Phong’s appeal for tourism development and international integration.
