Hai Phong Party leader works with Czech Chamber of Commerce

Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau and the city delegation visited and worked with the Czech Chamber of Commerce (CCC) on December 2 in Prague.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Le Tien Chau emphasized that Hai Phong highly values the meeting, considering it a major opportunity to connect the business communities of both sides.

Hai Phong shares many similarities with industrial and seaport centers in Europe as well as major industrial cities in the Czech Republic. The city’s inherent and unique advantages can fully become strengths for Czech companies seeking to expand their supply chains and establish direct links with markets outside Europe.

Hai Phong and Czech enterprises still have significant opportunities to expand cooperation, especially in the Czech Republic’s strong sectors such as manufacturing, precision engineering, environmental technology, energy and high-tech industries. The two sides can cooperate in energy, green transition and energy efficiency. These are priority areas for both sides and can lead to concrete cooperation projects.

The Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee affirmed that the city is ready to provide industrial land, synchronized technical infrastructure and favorable support mechanisms to accompany Czech enterprises.

Hai Phong hopes to work closely with the CCC to organize business forums, investment and trade promotion programs, market-survey missions and meetings connecting businesses of both sides, while expanding cooperation in manpower training, vocational education and expert exchanges. The city also seeks to maximize the strengths of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, an important economic and cultural bridge between the two countries.

CCC Chairman Zdenek Zajicek highly appreciated the city’s cooperation initiatives and said the potential of Hai Phong and the dynamism of Czech enterprises, supported by the Vietnam Committee, will form a foundation for Hai Phong – Czech cooperation to grow stronger, more substantive and more effective, contributing to deepening the Vietnam – Czech Republic strategic partnership.
