The Government has just issued Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP dated April 3, 2026, approving the policies for the key industries law.
Specifically, The Government agrees on the necessity of enacting the key industries law to institutionalize the Party's guidelines and viewpoints on national industrialization and modernization, perfect the legal framework to promote key industries' development in line with science, technology, and innovation contexts. This aims toward building an independent, self-reliant, and resilient industrial foundation, contributing to rapid and sustainable economic growth, advancing toward a developed nation with high income under socialist orientation.
The Government basically approves two policies proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade including encouraging domestic production and manufacturing of key industrial products and developing supporting industries.
Based on the finalized policy files, the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with relevant ministries and agencies, will draft the key industries law project and report to the Government in line with law regulation.
