A synchronized industrial-cluster infrastructure attracts supporting enterprises and encourages deeper participation in supply chains.

In 2026, Hai Phong is accelerating the construction of industrial clusters infrastructure, expanding production land funds and creating space to attract investment. This is expected to become a new driver to boost industrial development and expand the local economic footprint.

Investing in infrastructure for 24 industrial clusters

On May 14, the investment project to build the Thuy Nguyen mechanical and casting craft village industrial cluster in Le Ich Moc Ward, with Trung Hanh Co., Ltd. as the main investor, officially broke ground. The cluster is being built on more than 20 hectares with synchronized infrastructure.

The project will not only create a concentrated production land fund but also help relocate dispersed small-scale production facilities into planned zones, thereby improving state management effectiveness over land, environment, fire prevention and construction order. It is also an important foundation for attracting investors and expanding production activities within the industrial cluster.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in 2026, the City People's Committee decided to establish and direct the accelerated investment and infrastructure development of 24 industrial clusters. Alongside the establishment of industrial parks and economic zones, that the city speeds up industrial-cluster rollout will help form linked chains for industrial production development and directly contribute to the city's target economic growth rate of 13% or higher this year.

According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade, since to start of the year, Hai Phong city has carried out site clearance for 14 industrial clusters covering a total area of 720 hectares, with site clearance costs of about 4,896 billion VND.

Faster infrastructure construction at the clusters helps the city prepare sites to attract industrial project investors, creating new momentum and making an important contribution to the index of industrial production (IIP) rising by 15.5%, with a stretch goal of 16% in 2026.

The formation of industrial clusters with synchronized infrastructure and clear sector orientations, prioritizing supporting industries, precision mechanics, logistics, e-commerce, …, will help raise appeal to secondary investors, increase competitiveness and promote deeper participation in supply chains.
