Dinh Vu Port can now receive vessels from over 20,000 DWT up to 48,000 DWT for cargo-handling

The Vietnam Maritime and Waterway Administration (Ministry of Construction) has approved safety measures for vessels over 20,000 DWT up to 48,000 DWT with reduced load entering and departing Berth No. 1 and No. 2 at Dinh Vu Port.
To ensure safety, especially for 48,000 DWT vessels navigating the Ha Nam channel segment, port operators must coordinate with Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority and pilots. This includes planning vessel movements, selecting optimal timing, potentially reducing speed below Hai Phong port regulations, and arrainging suitable tugboats to assist during entry, departure, or at the curve in emergencies.
Authorities must also heighten surveillance and traffic coordination to minimize disruptions to public maritime channels.
Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority has responsibility for strictly implementing these safety measures for the specified vessels at Berth No. 1 and No. 2, ensuring maritime safety, security, and environmental protection.
