Cumulatively in the first four months, the city’s export turnover reached about 18.3 billion USD, up 26.2% year‑on‑year, exceeding the scenario (16.2 billion USD) and completing 35.2% of the 2026 annual plan.
In the first four months, the city’s export activities were affected by global trade tensions, the United States’ new tariffs, the US–Iran conflict, and especially oil price fluctuations. However, thanks to the city’s proactive solutions and response measures, as well as the efforts of the local business community, Hai Phong’s exports have continued to maintain their positions in traditional markets while also accessing new markets, contributing to increasing export turnover.
