Wild peach branches, wild pear branches, rock apricots, or Northwest orchids have now become 'decorative specialties' of many people in Hai Phong city, especially ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Hai Phong is renowned for Dang Cuong peaches and Kien Thuy ornamental kumquats. However, in recent years, the ornamental plant market has undergone a clear shift: Northwest wild branches, fruits, and flowers are appearing more frequently in stores, satisfying enthusiasts' demand.
Not only individual collectors, but also many coffee shop owners, studios, and fashion stores along major central streets like Van Cao, To Hieu, Cau Dat... are seeking out wild branches and fruits for decoration.

Not only the Lunar New Year, Northwest wildflowers are harvested and transported to Hai Phong according to distinct seasons. From December to February: wild peaches, wild pears, rock apricots; from March to April: mountain ebony flowers and wild orchids in full bloom. From May to August, Northwest nature lovers can arrange wild banana branches and various wild fruits. September to November is ideal for early wild plums, decorative wild leaves, and red highland maple leaves...
Typically, Moc Chau (Son La) wild peaches cost from 700,000 to 3 million VND per branch; branches with drooping shapes or unique forms can reach 5 to 8 million VND. Wild pears range from 500,000 to 2.5 million VND per branch; those with dense buds expected to bloom during Tet are always in short supply. Rock apricots, priced at 200,000 to 600,000 VND per branch, are especially favored by young families.
The growing presence of Northwest wild branches, fruits, and flowers in Hai Phong residents' living spaces not only reflects new consumption trends but also demonstrates cultural exchange between the two regions. Amid the fast and intense rhythm of industrial life, the rustic beauty of the mountains and forests offers a sense of balance and closeness to nature.
