The Civil Defense Command of Hai Phong city has lifted the ban, allowing activities in coastal areas to return to normal starting August 19.
The Civil Defense Command of Hai Phong has just issued Document No. 454/TB on lifting the ban on activities at river mouths and sea entrances within the city.
Accordingly, the ban on the Cat Hai–Phu Long cable car, ferries, and bridges was lifted from 7 am on August 19.
Fishing vessels, aquaculture, exploitation, and other activities in river mouths, coastal areas, and offshore waters, along with tourism, leisure, and entertainment on seas and islands, were allowed to resume from 10 am on the same day.
Earlier, on August 18, the city Civil Defense Command issued Notice No. 450/TB suspending all activities at river mouths and sea entrances across the city from 2 pm the same day to prevent impacts from a tropical depression.
