On New Year's Eve for the Year of the Horse 2026, Haiphong will host fireworks displays at 12 locations.
Haiphong to launch high-altitude fireworks display at Bac Song Cam Political-Administrative Center
Five high-altitude fireworks sites combined with low-altitude clusters include: the city's Central Political-Administrative Square; Xu Dong Cultural Central Square; Vinhomes Vu Yen urban area; Hanh Phuc Lake in Kien An Ward and Kien Hai Commune Stadium.
Seven low-altitude fireworks sites are arranged at: Kien Thuy Commune dragon boat racing dock; Cat Hai High School and Cat Ba Tourism Center; An Duong Ward Park; Chan Hung Commune Stadium; Ha Bac Commune Stadium; Hop Tien Commune Stadium; and the western urban area of Nam Sach Commune.
The city's Central Political-Administrative Square, a symbol of Haiphong's new urban development will host a large-scale fireworks display with about 600 high-altitude shells and 150 low-altitude racks.
This is also a highlight in the city's chain of cultural, artistic, and sports activities for Tet 2026, running from before Tet through the end of February with numerous art performances, sports events, and folk cultural activities serving residents and tourists.
