The Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Federation of Labor has set the goal of collecting more than 60,000 initiatives from trade union members and workers during Workers’ Month 2026.

On the afternoon of March 20, the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Federation of Labor held a meeting to deploy key activities for the second quarter of 2026. Participants focused on exchanging ideas, discussing, and approving the plan for Workers’ Month 2026. The month will carry the theme ‘Hai Phong workers innovate and create to raise labor productivity’, and will serve as a peak period to promote movements for innovation, digital initiatives, and increased productivity. The city aims to achieve more than 60,000 initiatives from union members and workers during this period.
In addition to innovation activities, Workers’ Month will emphasize care for workers’ health through free medical check‑ups, men’s and women’s football tournaments, visits and gifts to family members of workers who have died in occupational accidents, alongside many other welfare activities.
In his concluding remarks, Hai Phong Federation of Labor Chairman Nguyen Anh Tuan requested each department to define the new and outstanding activities planned for Workers’ Month 2026 in order to propagate and create a dynamic emulation atmosphere among trade union members and workers.
Highlighting the role of grassroots trade union cadres, he assigned specific tasks to each relevant department, asking them to promptly implement the program to improve the quality of the city’s trade union cadre team, meet the requirements of the new situation, and contribute to building a strong, effective trade union organization that serves the interests of trade union members and workers.
