Youth Month 2026 in Hai Phong is taking place vibrantly with a wide range of practical, meaningful, and creative activities.

Students from Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy take check-in photos to capture meaningful moments while sharing messages toward the election of deputies to the National Assembly of Vietnam (16th term) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Youth activities in Hai Phong during Youth Month 2026 clearly demonstrate the role and responsibility of young people in building the community. Among the highlights are activities supporting the election of deputies to the National Assembly (16th term) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Young people across the city have actively participated in public communication and awareness campaigns for the election. The city’s Youth Union has directed mobile communication campaigns on the election across all 114 communes, wards, and special administrative zones throughout the city.

Local Youth Union branches have implemented many creative initiatives, such as organizing check-in photo spots to spread images and the vibrant atmosphere of the election, as well as developing information pages and applying digital transformation tools to support election services and communication efforts.

At the local level and within various organizations, youth forces have actively taken part in election preparations, participated in voting, and supported elderly people, war veterans, and those with limited mobility in reaching polling stations.

Meaningful community activities

In mid-March, the Youth Union of Tran Nhan Tong Ward collaborated with the Chi Linh Charity Club to organize the program “Bowls of Love – Warmth for Patients” at Chi Linh Leprosy Hospital.

The hot bowls of porridge, carefully prepared by Youth Union members—from selecting ingredients to cooking and personally delivering them to patients—not only provide material support but also convey compassion and encouragement, helping patients gain strength and confidence to overcome pain and difficulties in life.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tran Nhan Tong Ward, the organization distributed more than 70 bowls of porridge and 10 gift packages to disadvantaged patients, with a total value of over VND 10 million. The funding was contributed by Youth Union members and mobilized through community donations.
This meaningful activity aims to spread the spirit of volunteerism, compassion, and responsibility among young people while bringing encouragement and warmth to patients.

With the same desire to support people in difficult circumstances in overcoming illness, the Youth Union of An Thanh Commune called on donors to help Ms. Bui Thi The from Vien Chu Hamlet, who is unfortunately battling cancer.

Ms. The’s husband works as a freelance laborer and suffers from health problems due to albinism. While caring for his seriously ill wife, he must also raise their two young children and shoulder significant debt accumulated over many years of medical treatment.

Ms. Tran Thi Mai, Secretary of the Youth Union of An Thanh Commune, said that after just three days of launching a fundraising campaign on social media, the Youth Union mobilized VND 32.9 million from generous donors. Local leaders visited the family, offered encouragement, and presented the financial support, bringing hope to the family during this difficult time.

Meanwhile, in Yet Kieu Commune, the local Youth Union recently organized a charity car-washing program to raise funds for gifts for disadvantaged children in the area. The activity took place at the gate of Le Loi Secondary School.

Mr. Pham Van Tang, Secretary of the Youth Union of Yet Kieu Commune, said the program has been organized for many years and consistently receives strong support from local residents. In just two days, the latest campaign raised over VND 6 million to provide gifts and support students facing difficult circumstances.

Sharing the same spirit of initiative and volunteerism for the community, young people in An Quang Commune recently inaugurated two youth projects titled “Children’s Playgrounds” at Quoc Tuan Primary School and Quang Trung Primary School under the theme “Youth Coloring Faith – Celebrating the National Festival.” The projects, funded through social contributions, have a total value of VND 50 million.

Youth Union members and teachers from the schools worked together to clean the campus and install playground equipment. These projects not only create recreational spaces for students but also help beautify the environment and spread positive messages within the community.

Activities closely aligned with local needs

Youth Month 2026 is being implemented with many meaningful initiatives, attracting a large number of Youth Union members and young people across the city.

Participating in these activities, Mr. Ngo Minh Hoang, a Youth Union member from Lai Xuan 7 Hamlet, Viet Khe Commune, shared his excitement and expressed that he feels a stronger sense of responsibility toward his hometown.

Mr. Hoang also hopes that future programs will be more closely connected to the practical needs of young people, such as entrepreneurship, digital transformation, soft skills development, and career orientation, and be organized in more flexible and creative ways to attract greater youth participation.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy Chairwoman of the city’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hai Phong, Youth Union organizations at all levels have closely followed the political tasks of their localities and units when implementing Youth Month activities.

The programs are carried out under the principle of “six clear goals”: clear personnel, clear tasks, clear timelines, clear responsibilities, clear outcomes, and clear authority. All activities are designed to be practical and effective, focusing on quality and tangible results while avoiding formality and waste.

Young people in An Quang Commune inaugurated the youth project “Children’s Playground” at Quoc Tuan Primary School and Quang Trung Primary School.

At the same time, efforts continue to promote digital transformation in Youth Union activities by effectively utilizing digital platforms and artificial intelligence to improve the quality of activities, spread positive values, and inspire a wider community of Youth Union members and young people.

Youth projects and initiatives are closely aligned with the practical needs of local communities, including environmental protection, advanced rural development, urban beautification, social welfare support, and assistance for disadvantaged children and youth.

Youth Union organizations at all levels are also encouraged to focus on improving the quality of grassroots organizations, Youth Union officials, branch activities, and members. At the same time, they should proactively and creatively advise Party committees and local authorities, while strengthening cooperation with organizations and businesses to mobilize resources in support of young people.

Emphasizing the role of the younger generation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy Chairwoman of the city’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Hai Phong, said that each young person should continuously learn, develop skills, strengthen their resilience, and promote a pioneering spirit. By mastering science and technology, young people can contribute to breakthroughs in the country’s national digital transformation, helping ensure the effective implementation of Youth Month 2026 and making it truly “a month of youth, for youth, and by youth.
