After five days of training involving Vietnamese and South Korean experts, 50 trainees in Hai Phong have gained knowledge and skills in technology research and development management.

The training program to strengthen capabilities in managing research and development (R&D) activities, organized by the Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology in coordination with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) from October 12 to 16, has completed all planned activities.
The program brought together 50 trainees, including officials, research experts, lecturers, and staff from institutes, universities, businesses, and science and technology organizations across the city.
The participants were selected based on their professional qualifications, practical experience, and plans to engage in technology R&D and innovation activities.

The training focused on practical aspects of R&D management, including identification of research orientations in line with market needs; management of objectives, schedules, and resources; risk control; financial management; intellectual property protection; and commercialization of R&D results of the spin-off company model.
The participants had an opportunity to exchange views and discuss challenges encountered in R&D at their organizations with domestic and international experts and lecturers. These discussions provided them with additional experience and approaches to applying their knowledge in practice and improving the management of technology R&D tasks.
Strengthening R&D management capabilities is an important requirement for narrowing the gap between research and application, helping improve business competitiveness and promoting the city's socio-economic development.
