Kha Lam Temple is located in Kha Lam 6 residential area, Phu Lien Ward. The temple worships Princess Chieu Chinh, the daughter of King Tran Thanh Tong. Born in 1258, she was renowned for her talents in both literature and martial arts, as well as her compassion and strong patriotic spirit.

During the second resistance war against the Mongol–Yuan invaders in 1285, she returned to her maternal homeland in Kha Lam, recruited local militia forces, and organized martial training, contributing to the royal court’s efforts in defending the country.

Beyond her contributions to national defense, Princess Chieu Chinh was also closely connected with the local people. She helped reclaim farmland, develop markets and river wharves, build bridges and temples, and assist the poor—leaving a lasting legacy in the region’s history and culture.
