Under the proposal, the People's Committee of Hong Bang Ward will lead efforts, in coordination with relevant departments, agencies and units, to organize art performances, culinary activities and trade promotion events in the city center. The program will initially run from June 26-28, 2026, before becoming a regular weekend attraction.
Weekend evenings will feature a variety of themed street performances blending traditional and contemporary art forms. Interactive activities such as painting, making traditional toy figurines and folk pottery will also be organized to enhance visitor engagement.
The area will also host booths showcasing Hai Phong's food tour specialties, regional and international cuisine, as well as OCOP products from the city and neighboring provinces. Organizers will set up check-in platforms and photo booths, while five flower kiosks in the city center will be decorated to serve residents and visitors.
The activities will take place around the City Theatre and the central flower garden area, covering sections of Quang Trung, Hoang Van Thu, Dinh Tien Hoang and Tran Hung Dao streets.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also proposed that Kien An and Le Thanh Nghi wards continue operating pedestrian streets as part of broader efforts to develop the city's nighttime economy.
According to the department, a series of events held around the central flower garden area and the City Theatre during the Red Flamboyant Festival-Hai Phong 2026 delivered an economic boost, helping stimulate tourism and attract both domestic and international visitors.
More than 128,800 people attended the events during the festival period. Visitor numbers surged on weekends, peaking at around 25,000 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Combined revenue generated by 18 booths participating in the festival and businesses along Tran Hung Dao and Quang Trung streets within the event area exceeded 2 billion dong.
The launch of pedestrian streets and a night market in the city center is expected to provide fresh momentum for the development of Hai Phong's nighttime economy.
