For the first time, Miss Vietnam, the country's most prestigious beauty pageant, has selected Hai Phong to host its national semifinal and final rounds.
The Hai Phong People's Committee has approved the organization of the Miss Vietnam 2026 pageant in the city.
Accordingly, the national semifinal is scheduled to take place on September 20, 2026, at Doi Rong International Tourist Area in Do Son Ward.
The national final is expected to be held on October 25, 2026, at either Doi Rong International Tourist Area or Europe Square at Vinhomes Royal Vu Yen in Thuy Nguyen Ward.
The city has assigned relevant agencies to provide guidance, conduct inspections, and supervise the entire organization of the pageant. The organizers are only permitted to implement the approved activities and must ensure full compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
This marks the first time Hai Phong has hosted the national semifinal and final rounds of Miss Vietnam, the country's leading beauty pageant. The competition has been held every two years since 1988.
In 2024, Hai Phong hosted the Miss Tourism Vietnam Global pageant. The city's continued selection as the venue for major beauty competitions reflects its growing reputation as a destination for national and international events.
Beyond hosting beauty pageants, Hai Phong has long been regarded as the birthplace of many of Vietnam's distinguished beauty queens, runners-up, and contestants who have earned recognition in domestic and international competitions.
