Hai Phong pushes propaganda for new growth drivers

On the afternoon of June 24, Hai Phong Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the City Journalists Association, held the June 2026 press meeting.

At the meeting, a representative of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority informed preparations for a government decision announcement and the launch of the Hai Phong Free Trade zone, scheduled for July under the theme ‘Creating new growth space’.

The city will announce decisions related to the Hai Phong specialized economic zone, approve the master plan for the South Coastal Hai Phong economic zone, and initiate the city’s Free Trade zone. These initiatives are identified as new development spaces that will expand long-term growth potential, enhance competitiveness, attract strategic investors and multinational corporations, and strengthen integration with global supply chains.

The press briefing focuses on the new economic zones, the Hai Phong Free Trade zone, and the rental housing project at the expanded Dai An Industrial Park.

Concluding the meeting, the Head of Hai Phong Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Quang Phuc commended local media for proactively communicating the city’s political tasks and socio-economic development in recent months. He urged the press to continue aligning coverage with the city’s political agenda, intensify reporting on socio-economic results for the first half of the year, activities of the City Party Committee, the People’s Council and the People’s Committee, Party building and operation of the two-tier local government model; events marking one year since the Hai Phong–Hai Duong merger and the 79th War Invalids and Martyrs Day; preparations for the new school year; disaster and fire prevention efforts; and measures to ensure social welfare.
