Digital transformation is becoming the key driving force helping Hai Phong Post Office enhance efficiency, expand services, improve customer experience, and contribute to building a digital society to serve the people.

Enhancing service quality
In Hai Phong, as e-commerce develops and during peak periods like year-end, demand for mail and parkages delivery surges sharply. On average each day, over 17,000 mail items are transported through the post office network, with cargo volume reaching about 920 tons per month during the 2025 peak season. This figure rises 20-30% compared to normal levels due to the sharp increase in online orders.

Digital transformation at Hai Phong Post Office is implemented directly in the core operational process of handling mail and parcel delivery. All mail items are affixed with barcodes or QR codes, enabling the system to track, locate, and monitor the entire operational process. When customers come to send items, the system generates a tracking number and immediately updates the schedule in the database.
Contributing to digital society development

Currently, Hai Phong Post Office has expanded its network to 493 service points, including 109 ward and commune post offices, creating a widespread distribution network across communes and wards to ensure residents can easily access postal services.
The digitalization direction not only focuses on delivery technology but also extends to customer and mail data management through a centralized database system, laying the foundation for AI and in-depth data analytics. Additionally, the post office is rolling out electronic transactions for postal services, such as online payments via e-wallets and apps.
Recently, the City Post Office has integrated public administrative services, allowing residents to submit and receive online documents and pick up results directly at post offices. This marks a new step toward building multi-functional, user-friendly, and modern transaction points. It contributes to enhancing service quality and fostering a closer image of the Post Office to the community.
