Speaking at the Great National Solidarity Day celebration in Phu Thai commune, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau called on Party committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), and mass organizations to focus their activities on the grassroots level and improve the quality of public service.

The VFF Committee of Phu Thai commune, Hai Phong city organized the Great National Solidarity Day celebration at the central hall on November 8 to celebrate the 95th founding anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front and the traditional day of the VFF (November 18, 1930 – 2025).
In his remarks, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau expressed his delight that local officials and residents always remain united in homeland building, strictly follow village and neighborhood conventions, practice a civilized lifestyle, and uphold family cultural values. Social order and security are maintained, while social welfare and gratitude programs receive strong attention. Sports, cultural, and art activities are vibrantly and frequently organized.

The Party Secretary emphasized that building a modern, civilized port city that leads in realizing the socialist model associated with socialist-oriented human development is a major policy set out at the first Congress of the Hai Phong Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. This is an important opportunity for Hai Phong to make a breakthrough in the new development phase, though it also poses many requirements and challenges.

To realize this resolution, he said, the joint efforts of the entire political system are needed, with the VFF and socio-political organizations playing a core role. Therefore, each locality, unit, and residential area must carry out concrete actions and movements to promote the people’s sense of ownership and determination to advance. It is also necessary to encourage and honor exemplary collectives and individuals, fostering the solidarity and compassion of the heroic and cultured people of Hai Phong.

After one year of implementing the movement “All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas,” Phu Thai commune has achieved notable results in economic, cultural, and social development and in maintaining security and order.

During the peak month “For the Poor,” the commune raised 300 million VND to support poor households and policy-beneficiary families. The movement to build a cultural lifestyle has been strengthened, with many vibrant community, art, and sports clubs.
