Tens of thousands of locals and visitors have gathered at the Hai Phong Theater Square and Xu Dong Cultural Center, sharing pride in a special artistic space to celebrate National Day.
On the evening of September 2, two art programs “Vang Mai Ban Hung Ca” (Forever Resounding Heroic Songs) and “Rang Ro Viet Nam” (Radiant Vietnam) simultaneously took place at the Hai Phong Theater Square and Xu Dong Cultural Center.
This was the highlight of a series of cultural and artistic activities marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).
At the city Theater Square, the program “Vang Mai Ban Hung Ca”, staged by the city Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition, was divided into two parts: “Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui” (The Nation in Complete Joy), opening with a solemn yet uplifting atmosphere, including “Vung Tin Theo Dang” (Faith in the Party), a vibrant and powerful performance like the marching steps of the entire nation moving forward.
Part two, “Dat Nuoc Cat Canh Bay Len” (The Nation Rises), reached its climax with vibrant yet deeply moving songs.
The flow of emotions continued as the Xu Dong Cultural Center Square lit up with the program “Rang Ro Viet Nam”, staged by the Xu Dong Cheo (Traditional Operetta) Theater.
The programs featured famous artists like People’s Artists Nhat Thuan and Manh Thang; Meritorious Artists Hong Tuoi, Hanh Bay, and Duc Thien; Sao Mai 2022 champion Doan Hong Hanh; Sao Mai Rendezvous singer Tran Thu Huong; along with many talented artists and singers from Central and city troupes.
From the city Theater Square to the Xu Dong Cultural Center, the two venues beat as one since the two stages carried a single spirit. The whole city of Hai Phong seemed to be immersed in the nation’s heroic symphony, honoring the past while affirming the will to rise in the present.
Especially, as the programs coincided with National Day (September 2), national pride was multiplied. Each performance and melody stirred emotions, reminding every Hai Phong citizen of their responsibility and aspiration to help build a prosperous, civilized homeland.
The night concluded with brilliant fireworks displays lighting up the skies above both venues. The sparkling bursts illuminated the radiant faces of tens of thousands of locals and visitors, affirming steadfast faith in the future and the strong aspiration of the nation and heroic Hai Phong to rise ever higher.
